Tucson, AZ –In the past two days Border Patrol Agents assigned to the Casa Grande Station have apprehended two illegal aliens with felony criminal warrants.

Sunday, October 31, agents encountered Gerardo Grajiola-Garcia, a 38-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, while conducting immigration checks at the Greyhound Bus Station in Phoenix, Arizona. Agents arrested Grajiola, when they found out that he was in the United States illegally. Grajiola was taken to the Casa Grande Station for processing, where he was entered in to the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System (IAFIS). Records showed that Grajiola had an active felony warrant in New Mexico for “Failure to Appear” on charges stemming from Felony Child Abuse, Battery on a Peace Officer, Aggravated DUI, and Duration of Evidence. Authorities in New Mexico were contacted and extradition was confirmed.

Monday, November 1, agents encountered Tobias Humberto Raymundo, a 30-year-old illegal alien from El Salvador. Raymundo was arrested during an immigration traffic stop on Interstate 10 near milepost 18. Raymundo was taken to the Casa Grande Station for processing, where he too was entered into the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System (IAFIS). Grajiola and Raymundo were turned over to the custody of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office pending extradition. Immigration detainers were placed on both, so that when they are finished with their state charges, they will be processed for the Federal charge of “Entry without Inspection”.
